Weather Girls First Report



The Weather Girls did a great job on their first report. The next one will probably come from Wisconsin or North Dakota.  We hope you'll be watching.

Edited to add: Our apologies iPad users, you can't view the video because it's an adobe flash file. In the future we will modify the format so you can see them too. Try watching it on a pc in the meantime.

    Excellent report! Josef has a question: he was surprised by the barometric pressure reading, and wonders whether the barometer has been calibrated.

    Correction to my last comment! I see that Grace gave the pressure in mm of mercury, not millibars! So the reading does make sense to Josef! Good work girls! I've learned something new!

    Thanks, Mary. I think the girls will probably report it both ways, but mm/Hg has the larger numbers (and hence easier to read) numbers on the dial.
